Group Fitness

We offer a variety of group fitness classes for almost every ability and interest. You'll find low-impact and beginner classes, cardio fitness, dance, Pilates, cycle and yoga.

New to Group Fitness?

  • Arrive at class early and let your instructor know you are new
  • Instructors will show different levels and options
  • Dress in comfortable workout attire
  • Wear supportive inside only shoes designed for that activity
  • Drink water before during and after class
  • Always workout at your own level
  • Ask your instructor for help if you need it

 

Yoga Inspired Classes

BALANCE & FLEX :  (AKA Centergy)  This mind-body class incorporates yoga and Pilates fundamentals with athletic training for  balance, mobility, flexibility, and core. Emotive music drives the experience as you breathe and sweat through this full-body fitness journey..

YOGA: Challenge your mind and body with yoga poses, breathing, and relaxation. Dynamic, flowing posture sequences will build strength and flexibility. Bring a Yoga mat if you have one (available if needed).  Depending on the weather, classes may be held outside.  YOGA/PILATES:  A fusion of Yoga Flow postures and Pilates exercises.

PIYO/SOUL FUSION: All levels welcome - modifications will be offered. All you need is a mat! New to PiYo? Think of it as Aerobic Yoga! Upbeat and exhilarating, PiYo moves to the vibing beat of the music rather than the more soulful pace of the breath that we're used to seeing in a traditional Yoga or Pilates class. This class is segmented section-by-section, song-by-song working us through heat-building, lower body, a short cardio burst, then sinking into three songs of sweet, soulful, sweaty flow before finishing with core and deep-heated stretch.

BARREFUSION:  A  low impact strength workout that enhances your muscle tone, posture, flexibility and confidence in a class that blends ballet, dance, functional strength and mind-body inspired movement. These exercises are performed with precision and concentration for ultimate results, each of the movements can be modified to match your unique skill and strength levels. 

Cycle Classes

GROUP CYCLE: Climb on our bikes and improve your cardiovascular endurance and build strength.  Our instructors will take you through a workout that closely resembles a ride encountering flats, seated climbs, standing climbs and intervals all while maintaining the ability to go at your own pace.  No complicated moves and great music! Arrive to class early to get your bike set up.

BEAT BOSS™: A rhythmic-based cycling class inspired by three biking styles: Road, Mountain, and BMX, for greater cross training purposes. If you like music and enjoy cycling, you'll love this class! BeatBoss™ Biking is great for beginners all the way to advanced competitive athletes. 

Aerobic/Cardio Classes

DANCE FITNESS: Music and dance come together for a dynamic and effective fitness class. No dance experience is required-just keep moving! Routines combine fast and slow rhythms that tone, sculpt and inspire. All levels.

DANCE SCULPT:  Deisy will mix it up with dance choreography, sculpting exercises and fun music sure to make you move. No dance experience is required-just keep moving! Routines combine fast and slow rhythms that tone, sculpt and inspire. All levels.

ZUMBA®: Latin and international music and dance come together for a dynamic and effective fitness class. No dance experience is required-just keep moving! Routines combine fast and slow rhythms that tone, sculpt and inspire. All levels.

ZUMBA® TONING: Combines targeted body-sculpt exercises and energetic cardio work. Using light weight dumbbells, you’ll work every muscle group while you groove.

Strength Based Classes

STRENGTH TRAIN TOGETHER:  (AKA Group Power) Strength Train Together is your hour of power! This 60 minute barbell program strengthens all your major muscles in an inspiring, motivating group environment with fantastic music and awesome instructors. With simple, athletic movements such as squats, lunges, presses and curls, Strength Train Together is for all ages and fitness levels. Discover results, discover STT!

BOOTCAMP: This class will challenge your whole body...basic cardio and strength exercises in a motivating group environment. 

ZUMBA® TONING: Combines targeted body-sculpt exercises and energetic cardio work. Using light weight dumbbells, you’ll work every muscle group while you groove.

Water Exercise

DEEP WATER EXERCISE: This class is held in the lap pool (deep end).  All class participants wear an Aqua Jog buoyancy belt provided by the Y.  The water’s resistance provides a great non-impact cardio and strength workout for all fitness levels.  Deep water can be modified for the shallow end of the lap pool. No swimming skills necessary.  

SHALLOW WATER EXERCISE: This shallow water class is choreographed to music and will provide a total body workout using the resistance of the water. No swimming skills necessary.  Exercise at your own level. 

AQUA COMBO WATER EXERCISE: This class is for those who would like to workout in the deep water (with flotation devices) or shallow water exercises for a total body workout. Participants can decide what area they would like to workout in...deep, shallow, or both.

INDEPENDENT WATER EXERCISE: This is an independent open swim time. It can be utilized by those wanting to extend their water workout, do their own workout, or have a more social workout time. 

ForeverWell/SilverSneakers Classes

SILVER SNEAKERS® CLASSIC: (In-person & Virtual) This class moves through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills with small cardio bursts and hand-held weights. A chair encouraged for  seated and/or standing support. This class can be adapted depending on fitness level and abilities. It is suitable for beginning and intermediate levels.

SILVER SNEAKERS® CIRCUIT: This class offers standing, low-impact choreography alternated with standing upper-body strength work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a SilverSneakers® ball.  A chair is available for support.  This class is suitable for nearly every fitness level and can be adapted depending on the skill of individual participants.

MEDITATION FOR HEALTH & RELAXATION:  
Quigong is a simple and very effective method to help you heal physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Through gentle moving and sitting meditations you can gain relief from pain, sickness, depression, and anxiety.

TAI CHI: MOVE 4 BETTER BALANCE: Moving for Better Balance is a falls prevention program that uses the principles and movements of Tai Chi in helping older adults improve their balance and increase their confidence in doing everyday activities without the fear of falling. Moving For Better Balance is modeled from Yang style Tai Chi forms
