Youth Meal Service Programs

The Brainerd YMCA provides both At-Risk Afterschool Meals during the School year and Summer Food Services in the summer time. These programs are for youth 18 years old or younger.

The At-Risk Afterschool Component of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (At-Risk CACFP) offers federal funding for meals and snacks served to children participating in an afterschool care program at an eligible At-Risk Afterschool Care Center in a low-income area. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) funds the program. Minnesota Department of Education (MDE), Nutrition Program Services administers the program.

The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) is designed to fill the nutrition gap during the summer months and make sure children can get the nutritious meals they need to achieve.

Summer Meal Location, Dates, and Times (Summer 2025)

Where: Brainerd YMCA - Front Desk Area

Dates: Monday Nights from June 9th-August 25th 

Time: 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Pick up will be 1 night per week and youth will receive one box that will contain all 5 supper meals for the week.

The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation.
