TODDLER SCHEDULE

6:30-9 am Arrival Free choice, including blocks, dramatic play, music, videos and free play.
8:00 am Breakfast
9:00-9:30 am Diapering/potty training/clean up
9:45 am Snack
10:00 am Teacher’s Choice Includes art, learning centers, includes learning activities that are both child and teacher initiated. Examples include: calendar, weather, numbers, letters, action games, finger plays, stories, music etc.
10:30 am Gym/ Outside Field Trip option
11:45 am Diapering/lunch prep
Noon-12:30 pm Lunch Includes a bag lunch from home
12:30 pm until awake Quiet/Nap time Alternative play in accessory room
3:00 pm

3:15 pm

Diapering/potty training

Snack

3:30 pm Teacher’s Choice Includes art, music, stories, learning stations, sensory, free play, outside play
5:30 pm Close

Our New Discoveries Child Care Center is Parent Aware rated!  Our staff go through continuous and extensive training to become 3-star rated through the Parent Aware program. Part of the process included:

  • Volunteered for extra, in-depth training
  • Devoted themselves to strong, caring relationships with each child
  • Adopted the latest approaches to keeping children’s learning on track
  • Committed to daily activities and routines that help children learn

The Minnesota Department of Human Services leads Parent Aware in coordination with the Minnesota Department of Education and the Minnesota Department of Health. Child Care Aware of Minnesota is working in local communities to share the Ratings with parents, and prepare child care and early education programs. Community leaders, including Parent Aware for School Readiness and the Greater Twin Cities United Way, also support Parent Aware.

DUE TO STATE MANDATE- THE YMCA WILL BE CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC BEGINNING AT MIDNIGHT ON NOVEMBER 20TH.  THE EXPECTED CLOSURE IS EXPECTED TO BE 4 WEEKS.
