YMCA Swim Lessons
Swim Lessons provide important life skills that could save a life, and will benefit you for a lifetime.
We are happy to announce that we will now be able to provide swim lessons to the Brainerd Lakes Area community. We are surrounded by lakes and experiences in and out of the water all summer long. Children are 100 % curious. Teach them to respect the water and learn how to swim by signing up for swim lessons today! All of our instructors are highly trained in a nationally recognized swim lesson program. To ensure safety at all times a life guard is always on duty. Our Y is taking precautions when it comes to swim lessons and Covid 19. The following measures will take place for each lesson:
- Children who need assistance or children in stages 1-3 will require one parent/guardian to be in the water with them.
- Parents/guardians will be required to wait outside of the pool area till lessons are complete(if you’re not in the water with your child).
- Children will be required to bring their own goggles.
- Training equipment will be provided for class and will be disinfected after each use.
- A health screening will be taken upon entry into the building.
- Towels will not be provided.
- To limit contact, only certificates will be issued at the end of the last day of lessons.
- Class sizes will be smaller to to keep to social distancing.
New participants are encouraged to fill out a Swimmer Information Form to ensure best group placement.
