Preschool Curriculum

Scholastic Big Day for PreK is organized into eight engaging and child-friendly themes. As the year progresses, the themes in this early-learning program broaden, and children begin to understand more about the world around them. The flexible content allows prekindergarten teachers to incorporate their own favorite themes into the classroom.

PARENT AWARE RATED!

Our New Discoveries Child Care Center is now Parent Aware rated!  Five of our staff recently went through the extensive training to become 2-star rated through the Parent Aware program.  Our facility intends to be 4-star rated in 2018.  Part of the process included:

  • Volunteered for extra, in-depth training
  • Devoted themselves to strong, caring relationships with each child
  • Adopted the latest approaches to keeping children’s learning on track
  • Committed to daily activities and routines that help children learn

The Minnesota Department of Human Services leads Parent Aware in coordination with the Minnesota Department of Education and the Minnesota Department of Health. Child Care Aware of Minnesota is working in local communities to share the Ratings with parents, and prepare child care and early education programs.
