SWIM DIAPER POLICY

For the safety and enjoyment of all, we are instituting the following swim policies:

All children less than 4 year of age are required to wear I-Play swim wear underneath their swimsuits.  NO EXCEPTIONS PLEASE.  Children under the age of 4 may be toilet-trained on land, but they are not mature enough to assess when to leave the pool to find a restroom.  Further, anyone who is not reliably toilet-trained (six consecutive days without ANY accidents is considered reliable), or not in control of all bodily functions are also required to wear I-Play swim wear underneath their swimsuits. This is a common practice among public pools and YMCAs which significantly reduced the incidence of pool closure due to fecal and/or urine contamination.  For your convenience, the I-Play brand of re-usable swim wear sizes range from infant to adult, and are available for purchase the our Member Services Desk.

Disposable diapers or swim diapers, (Huggies, combined with rubber, plastic, or vinyl pants) will not be acceptable.  This combination is proven ineffective and disposable swim diapers contain materials that clog pool filters.

When fitting for I-Play swim wear, please make sure to size by weight, not age.  I-Plays should fit snug on the waist as well as the thigh.  It is not necessary to wear anything underneath.

Once in the pool, please take your children for regular visits to the restroom to ensure those accidents are avoided.  As an additional precaution, please do not bring your swimmer to the pool if he/she is ill or suffering from diarrhea.
